If u have a high end Windows Laptop with an SSD then you must have faced storage problem once in a while. Thankfully Windows 10 brings a great Storage Manager. In the System page of Settings go to the Storage option. Here you will find all the drives in your PC. You can just click on a drive to get specific details around what’s using up storage on your device. So you can delete files that u don’t really need. There are also temporary files that you can just click on to delete, downloaded file, empty Recycle Bin and files from the previous Windows version. If you don’t want to go with the hassle of cleaning up the file every now and then, you can enable Storage Sense, which deletes temporary files, from apps and files in Recycle Bin that have been there for over 30 days. Now this is surely going to help you in freeing-up some space for you.

If you tend to use your Laptop for long working hours specially at night you might have felt a little discomfort in your eyes. Well that’s because of the blue light in the display. Windows now offers a native solution ,the “Night Light”.

You can just head to Windows Settings, here go to System then Display, here you can see the Night Light option here just enable it and you will see the colour temperature of the screen changed to more warmer tone. Emojis have become an integral part in of our conversation on the internet. Sadly there is no way to type in an emoji easily from the hardware keyboard. The good news is that you can send emoji from the onscreen keyboard in Windows. Just right click on the taskbar and tick the Show touch keyboard button option. Now the touch keyboard will be available to you, just open it and go to emojis page and send as many emojis as u want.

Bash Shell

Microsoft brought some great news for Linux geeks when it announced that a special version of the Bash Shell is part of Windows 10. However, if u want to use it u have to enable it first. Go to Windows Setting and head to Update & security, here go to the For developers option and enable the developer mode.

Then open Control Panel then click on programs and then click on Programs and Features. Here click on the option to Turn Windows features on or off in the left pane. In the new window that opens up, enable the option that says Windows Subsystem for Linux.

Then you have to restart your PC. Once your PC restarts search for bash which will open a command prompt window. Here you will have to enter ‘y’ to install Ubuntu first, once it’s done you will be able to use Bash Shell as if you were on a computer with Ubuntu.

How to Hard Reboot an iPhone or iPad

No one can easily doubt over the engineering efforts made by Apple. Despite of that there are some chances that your iPhone or iPad might stop working, by which I mean it stops responding to your touch. At that moment you need to reset your iPhone and considering the worst scenario no matter how long you hold the power button the power off option doesn’t show up. This condition may arise due to any software bug or unwanted behaviour of any app. In such cases there is  a straightforward method to resolve it , which involves forcing your device to reboot. This method is termed as reset or hard restart which is done by holding down the combination of 2 buttons simultaneously for 10 seconds or more. By doing so all running processes will be cleared and the device will be rebooted forcibly. Talking about iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus, the Home button is not a physical button anymore. So the button combination is bit different in these devices than their predecessor. ...

The circle of life is not just limited to living things , it has the same impact over technology and so every year brings a wave of old products and failed ideas that make way for newer and better ones. This year we lost some once-iconic technology which lost their impact long ago along with some junk that shouldn’t have existed in the first place. In 2017 , many Microsoft products met their blue screen of death. Apple also joined the list as they pulled the plug on the couples of iPods, slammed the door at their iconic iPod Shuffle and iPod Nano. Some junk technologies like Juicero also met their destiny that just needed to die. Good dumping. For all we lost there were some technologies that returned from the dead : Teddy Ruxpin, Polaroid, Aibo. As another year comes to a close so do many technology concepts, products and services.  Le...
