On December 11, 2014 United Nations General Assembly declared June 21 as INTERNATIONAL DAY OF
YOGA. Yoga is a combined
blend of physical , mental and spiritual practice originated around 6000 years
ago in India. Yoga mainly aims to integrate the body and mind, and is a way to
attain self control and full satisfaction .
June 21 is declared as International Day of
Yoga because of call of India’s Honourable Prime Minister Narendra
Modi on September 27, 2014 while addressing to UN General Assembly.
June 21 which is Summer Solstice is the
longest day of the year in Northern Hemisphere and also has special
signification in many parts of the world.
Here below are the some of the facts you
should know that how India is gearing up to celebrate International Day of
Yoga.
· At Rajpath in New Delhi the capital of
India , there will be great gathering and our honourable Prime Minister
Narendra Modi will arrive at 06:40 am to participate in the function.
· Baba Ramdev, along with other 3
experts will be present at Rajpath to exhibit asanas, which will be projected through
28 big screens.
· On this prestigious day the government
will also release postage stamps to commemorate the occasion.
According to studies the demand of Yoga
Instructors likely to grow by 35 %.
